
Externadistas awarded at the Seventh International Human Rights Competition
Students of the Externado de Colombia University Criminal Policy Research Center’s Law practice obtained recognition for the best victims’ representatives’ memorial.
Fourth-year Law students Luisa Gaviria Forego and Gorbachov Salcedo González, who began their practice at the Center for Criminal Policy Research in 2020, obtained the highest score in the Seventh International Human Rights Competition’s written memorial of the victims’ representatives. The winning students were directed by Professor Ángela Marcela Olarte Delgado and Juan Carlos Lucero Rojas, an expert in the Inter-American Human Rights System.
The competition, organized by the Universidad Autónoma Latinoamericana (UNAULA) and the Colombian Institute of Human Rights, was held with the support of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Foundation, virtually, from November 30 through December 4, 2020.
More than 30 universities from Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Colombia, among others, participated in the event.
