Nature Tourism Green Businesses

The conference is part of the Tourism and Hotel Business Administration “Creative and Innovators who inspire” talks cycle.

The chat will explain what green businesses are and the characteristics they should have. Likewise, the state of the art of these businesses will 7be presented to encourage attendees to support their consolidation through support actions and compliance with the required criteria.

The talk will be offered by María Cristina Velásquez, an environmental engineer specializing in environmental management and student of the Externado Master in Sustainability. She has 12 years of experience in ecotourism, environmental education, and conservation and environmental restoration. Currently, she is associated with the Colombia Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, where she works in consolidating nature tourism initiatives as a green business in the country.

The “Creative and Innovators who Inspire” talks cycle invites tourism and hospitality sector entrepreneurs to share their business and life experiences with the students of our House of Studies. The talks’ objective is for students to learn about realities different from those experienced in the academic field and, thus, can expand their work and professional spectrum.
