Discussion group “Human rights in Colombia”
Fecha: 2 of april
Hora: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Lugar: D-200 AUDITORIO
Rodrigo Uprimny, prominent Colombian attorney, will lead the discussion.
The chat is held within the framework of the 2019 first-semester talks cycle “Contemporary issues as an action framework for tourism.”
The conference will provide a global overview of the human rights problems in Colombia, combined with a historical analysis of the ambiguities of Colombian democracy – very advanced in some respects and very precarious, and even frightening, in others, with a discussion on the relationship between human rights and the peace process.
Rodrigo Uprimny is an Externado Law graduate, with a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Picardie Jules Verne (France), a Master’s from the University of Paris I (Panthéon – Sorbonne), and a Specialization in Legal Sociology from the University of Paris II.
