Office of internationalization
Since 1986, FIGRI has addressed the range of challenges in Colombia, the region and the world. Today, in an increasingly interdependent world, internationalization in academia and the knowledge society is more relevant than ever. Given this, the Office of Internationalisation at the Faculty of Finance, Government and International Relations (FIGRI) supports the faculty´s mission to graduate professionals not only with the highest human qualities, but also with the skills and dispositions to understand the world, act in it and transform it in positive ways. In an increasingly complex world, we take this mission seriously. We are aware that this requires a mindset, skills-set and a heart-set to act in the world with cultural sensitivity, impacting both local and global communities.
We strongly believe in inclusion and diversity in its different forms, and are convinced that these make us better and richer. Based on the Externado philosophy, we work towards making those from all racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds feel welcome and part of our family. We strive to learn from each other and give the best we´ve got.
From a strategic point of view, the Office of Internationalisation acts transversally supporting our three Schools and the different faculty units. In particular, we work to promote international mobility and to broaden our internationalization agenda through our foundational educational goals: education for innovation; transformative research and knowledge; meaningful and contextually situated interaction with the environment.
In short, we are world class, constantly in learning mode, continually growing and dedicated to ever greater excellence.
