The Master in Human Management and Organizational Development was designed by the Center of Human Management and Organizations at the School of Management at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. All 6 centers at the School of Management design, orient, and execute activities of instruction, research and of extensions in order to achieve the mission of the School and of the Externado. Through these activities, the School consolidates its strengths and specializations in themes and methodology in the field of administration and management.
This program has the support of the School with more than 45 years of experience in the country. The School of Management is recognized as having academic excellence, which comes from preparation of modules, the emphasis and subjects of the academic programs in relation to the topics of Human Management, Organizations, Development, and Organizational Change. The different research groups develop activities, which search for the contextualization, production, socialization, and constant updating of knowledge through the participation in academic events and other methods of dissemination. The program maintains a high level of professors who also participate in advising and business consulting activities.
The Center of Human Management and Organizations is academically and administratively mature after having designed and coordinated other continuing education programs. With this experience, the Center developed the Master’s program as a response to the needs of the business, academic, and professional environments.
As is the custom at the School of Management and the Universidad Externado de Colombia, the programs educate alumni who are agents of development in respect to social responsibility, in agreement with the values and missions: respect of life, diverse philosophy, tolerance, contact with the universal culture, liberal spirit, faith in democracy, integral education, ethical citizens, and a promise to the nation and the national identity.
