Per Se Rule and Rule of Reason: Interpretation of competition rules

The Economics Law Department invites to the launching of the book “¿Regla per se y regla de la razón? Interpretación de las normas de competencia” (Per Se Rule and Rule of Reason: Interpretation of competition rules). The event features participation by Pablo Felipe Robledo, Superintendent of Industry and Commerce.

In Colombia, there are different doctrinal positions regarding the viability of interpreting antitrust provisions under the American rules, known as the Per Se Rule and Rule of Reason.

The work analyzes in detail, and with academic rigor, the conceptual evolution and the theoretical and practical aspects of the rules, and offers a doctrinal contribution on the subject and the feasibility, or not, of their implementation in the national context, as well as the process created in the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, the sole Colombian competition authority. The book was edited by Emilio José Archila Peñalosa, Director of the Economics Law Department.
