Fourth session of the Private Law Philosophy Network Seminar Cycle
Fecha: 9 of december of 2020
Hora: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
The Externado de Colombia University and its Center for Research in Philosophy and Law invite the entire Externadista community to the seminar "Between prohibiting and allowing, which is more feminist? An analysis of surrogacy from the perspective of pregnant women."
The academic event is organized jointly by our House of Studies’ Private Law Philosophy Network, the Center for Research in Philosophy and Law, the Chair of Legal Culture, the University of Girona (Spain), and the Alfonso Ibáñez University (Chile).
The seminar, directed by Diego Papayannis, from the University of Girona, will have participation by professor Esther Farnós Amorós, from the Pompeu Fabra University (Spain). She will analyze the problem surrogacy can create for a feminist ethic, a practice increasingly implemented, but one that raises many concerns from the law and the critical-normative standards that analyze it.
The event will be held simultaneously at the Universities of Girona, Adolfo Ibáñez, and the Externado, and features talks by professors from the three institutions who are also members of the Private Law Philosophy Network. Concerns and questions raised by participants will also be addressed during the seminar.
