XIX International Environmental Law Conference
Featuring national and international experts, the meeting will analyze some structural concepts of the territories environmental land-use, sectoral planning, and protection of the environment.
On October 26-27, 2017, the Externado de Colombia Environmental Law Department will develop an academic program delving into topics such as integrated land planning and environmental planning instruments.
The XIX International Environmental Law Conference responds to the commitment to harmonize society’s economic, social, cultural, and ecological aspects regarding territory planning and environmental management.
Although the legal framework and public policies should aim to ensure the best conditions for harmony, in practice, the planning mission of the competent entities and the difficulty to incorporate environmental determinants in territorial regulation, have created a large environmental problematic and, in some cases, restrictions on the country’s growth and sustainable development.
The Conference is directed to Law, Economics, and related field professionals, Mayors, Planning Secretaries, national environmental entities, as well as professionals involved in the areas of hydrocarbons, mining, public services, and infrastructure.
