Externado professors participate in the Ibero-Latin American Insurance Committee Congress
At the event, experts from different nationalities addressed the legal advances of each country.
Professors Juan Felipe Neira and Luisa Herrera, graduates from our House of Studies, were part of the Colombian delegation participating in the Ibero-Latin American Insurance Committee Congress – CILA – held in Lima, Peru.
The CILA Congress, event in which the CILA General Assembly and the Presidency Council of the International Insurance Law Association (AIDA) are held, takes place every two years, with participation by experts from different nationalities, authorities in multiple areas of Insurance Law.
During the four days of the Congress, 14 academic working groups convened to exchange information on the legal advances of each country. Also, the event featured six conferences on issues of transnational relevance.
The Colombian delegation, led by the president of the Colombian Insurance Law Association – Acoldese, stood out for their several talks on liability insurance in major works, climate change-related insurance, reinsurance, and compliance. Our experts also addressed the impact of the Arbitral Statute and its reform project in the face of Insurance Law.
