Secure Network… Rights and Responsibilities “Soy Digital” (I am Digital)
The Law School and the Alumni Association of the Universidad Externado de Colombia invite students, professors, administrative staff and alumni of the Universidad Externado de Colombia to participate in this training program.
Would you enter alone and without any precaution in a dark and scary alley at midnight? Something similar is to access and navigate in social networks and different digital platforms without really knowing their dynamics, risks, possibilities and opportunities.
According to the most recent report by London-based We Are Social and Hootsuite, there are more than 4.5 billion people in the world who connect to the Internet and spend more than two full days a week on online activities. Social networking is the most time-consuming and one of their favorite activities.
In order for more users of digital platforms in Colombia to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their digital presence in an effective, safe and responsible manner, the global Digital Citizenship program “Soy Digital” (I am Digital), created by Facebook to train and provide effective tools to interact safely in different networks, is being developed in the country.
This is why, in a special way, the Law School, the Alumni Association and Impacto TIC open this new and useful space to the Externadista community.
This is an online training program, totally free of charge, which is developed in 4 workshops, each lasting 2 hours, in which attendees will be able to delve into the following topics: how to manage a better digital footprint; why it is important to have a good online reputation; what are the main rights and duties of a digital citizen; and how you can identify and help control disinformation and fake news.
