Maria E. Oliver was born in Bogotá, Colombia and she has dual Colombian and American citizenship. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design as well as studying English at Bell School in Cambridge, England for almost two years. She obtained a Certificate of Completion in TESOL Professional Development Training from FAU, Florida Atlantic University in 2007, and her CELTA from the University of Cambridge in 2009 (the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Maria E. Lived in the USA for 19 years in Portland, Oregon and San Antonio, Texas. She has been back in Colombia since 2001.
She taught English at Sergio Arboleda University for 7 years and has taught English at the Externado University since February 2007. This has been a great learning experience for her, for which she is very grateful.
Maria enjoys very much working outside where she spends most of her weekends taking care of her plants, and she also likes very much listening to music and teaching but mostly being with her precious children Mikey and Ashley.
