This is an iron pipe commonly used in hydraulic installations, closely resembling the barrel through which a projectile passes in a firearm. The artist reflects on the everyday nature of war through common objects, analysing their shape, sound, and movement. Under Pressure alludes to the constant siege endured by a society victimised by armed conflict and offers a metaphor for the daily fear experienced by people in public and private spaces. The work contemplates the disruptive routines that hinder free movement within the territory, a right protected under Article 24 of the Political Constitution.
