An uninhabited and abandoned house stands amid trees and green grass. The shadows of those who forced displacement—and perhaps those of its former inhabitants—are cast upon the walls like ghosts. The artist explores the relationship between space, people, and time through a dialogue between the abandoned present and a violent past. The traditional structure of rural Colombian homes forms a paradox in the face of the reality of peasant families forced to abandon their lands and deprived of their rights to land access, private property, and decent housing, as set out in Articles 64, 58, and 51 of the Political Constitution.
