A person wearing a black balaclava blends into the background of the photograph, leaving only their nose visible. The subject avoids the camera lens, and their face is barely discernible. This work is part of a video installation in which Echeverri compiles testimonies from demobilised individuals involved in the conflict, presented alongside video and large-format photographs. The anonymous way in which the protagonist recounts the events of the conflict and the reality of violence in Colombia raises questions about the Comprehensive System for Truth and Reparation (SIVRN) and the Truth Commission—bodies established by Legislative Act 01 of 2017, through which the Peace Agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrilla was incorporated into the national Constitution.
