**From third places to delivery-only: theoretical insights into dark servicescapes Autores: German Contreras Ramirez; Mark S. Rosenbaum; et al.**

**Revista:** International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management

This study conceptualizes a “dark servicescape” framework, a novel extension of servicescape theory, to understand how delivery-only kitchens influence consumer perceptions of physical, social, symbolic, and cyber/digital dimensions. This qualitative study examines the perceptions of 30 customers who patronized a restaurant before and after its transition to a dark kitchen. It developed a deductive framework informed by servicescape theory and thematic coding to analyze the data.

**Automation, Power, and Profit: A Critique and Generalization of the Task-Based Approach**

**Autores:** Juan Jacobo

**Revista:** Metroeconomica

The task-based approach has become the dominant paradigm for explaining changes in U.S. income inequality. However, many of its predictions are reformulations of accounting identities. To address this limitation, I embed the task-based approach within a broader theoretical structure that avoids conflating behavioral relationships with accounting constraints. Building on a game-theoretic framework in which unions, automation, and welfare policy jointly determine worker power, the model gauges the roles of technology and institutions in shaping macroeconomic outcomes.
