# The World in English

The World in English is a twice-weekly elective advanced language course. Some of the topics we will explore include current affairs, English as a global language, culture, and interculturality. The course will also look at developing life skills, digital literacy, digital media, professional work interests and lifelong learning. Through class discussions, debates and presentations, students will practice and improve their spoken English skills. Also, students will polish their written skills through a variety of writing genres. Readings and Listenings will be delivered through different media outlets, including websites and blogs.

Upon completion of this course, students will have become more proficient and confident in their English communication skills. They will have also evaluated their strengths and weaknesses as future professionals in the 21st century and be ready to face new challenges.
