Graduation ceremonies continue in virtual mode

In view that according to the country's health authorities, the COVID-19 contagion risk remains in our environment, and taking into account the recommendation to maintain prevention measures to avoid an infection increase, the University has decided to continue holding undergraduate and graduate degree ceremonies virtually.

We are currently implementing all measures to provide the real option of returning to campus in person, to carry out certain activities without exposing our community to unnecessary hazards. As disclosed in the general guidelines, the return scheme is based on these two elements’ conjugation. We will permanently monitor, allowing us to make the necessary adjustments in a timely manner, from the public health, academic, and administrative perspectives, and according to the national and district authorities’ regulations that indicate our roadmap on this issue.

However, graduation ceremonies’ specific characteristics imply a family encounter and personal closeness in a context of emotionality that, necessarily, can lead to a relaxation of protection measures, leading us to prevent unfortunate situations for Externadistas and their families.
