#WobiExternado returns June 5 and 6, exclusively for Externado students and alumni
The Externado Business Administration, Finance, Government and International Relations, and Law Faculties, obtain, once again, the live broadcast of WOBI Humanification. Jonah Berger, marketing professor at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, will be the guest of honor at the event.
Organized by WOBI each year in different cities across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, the World Business Forum is a two-day event bringing together thousands of restless minds sharing a passion for business.
Those who attend do so to learn and be inspired by some of the world’s most influential figures in business and other areas; a blend of content comprised by executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, thinkers, artists, and sportspersons.
As usual, this year the Business Administration, Finance, Government and International Relations, and Law Faculties, bring the broadcast to Externado students and alumni, and with it, Jonah Berger, presenter of this year’s theme, “Humanification”. The guru will talk live with attendees at this meeting about entrepreneurship, technology, leadership, and the importance and value of workers in organizations. An elite group of current thinkers in the business world are also featured.
Jonah Berger is a renowned professor of Marketing at the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania, United States). He is a student of human influence and an expert in how people make decisions, how ideas are spread.
At the Externado, Berger will discuss how invisible influence shape consumer behavior; how to understand social influence and its impact on everything we do. A different playing field for marketing; social transmission and consumer products; basic principles for turning a product or idea into something “contagious,” and advertising by word of mouth, a way of doing marketing focused on people.
Also, speakers include Steve Wozniak, Silicon Valley icon, philanthropist, and co-founder of Apple; Gary Hamel, one of the most influential figures in modern management; Randi Zuckerberg, former Facebook Director of marketing; Santiago Iñiguez de Onzoño, President of IE University and renowned expert in management development. Also, Kelly Peters, an expert in behavioral science; Shawn Moon, Franklincovey Executive Vice President of Strategic Markets, and Ian Williamson, Professor of leadership at Melbourne Business School.
The theme of this year’s WOBI, Humanification, relates to the importance of maximizing people’s diversity and creativity to achieve business success. The advancement of technology has revolutionized the way of managing, placing at our disposal data, metrics, and automation, which have led to great improvements in productivity. It is time to focus on those who are part of these organizations, releasing their full potential, so born leaders may integrate technologies strengthening the company and creating products meeting customers’ needs.
Humanification is:
- Assess talent
- Nurture creativity
- Unlock potential
- Work in network
- Listening to customers
- Humanizing technology
