The Creative Writing Laboratory of the Universidad Externado de Colombia Library returns in a face-to-face format. In this new cycle entitled ‘The World’s Voices’ we explore poetry written by women.
This year, for the first time in the competition’s history, a Law student from our University, Claudia Michelle Halaby Haddad, won first prize in the Short Story category. In the Poetry category, first place went to Alejandro Morales Sánchez from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellín campus.
The Cartagenian’s children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, friends, admirers, and poets gathered at the Externado to pay tribute to the late writer Gustavo Ibarra Merlano (q.e.p.d.).
