Professor Javier Paver, Master in Territorial Planning and Population Dynamics of Universidad Externado de Colombia, was appointed by the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, as the new director of the National Unit for Risk and Disaster Management.
The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, together with the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Human Sciences and Processes (LINCIPH), the Area of ‘Health, Medical Knowledge and Society’ of the Centre for Research on Social Dynamics (CIDS) and the Dunna Corporation-Creative Alternatives for Peace, began to develop a research and intervention project with the Venezuelan migrant population.
The first part of the academic program was delivered, from 8 to 12 August 2022, within the framework of a collaborative partnership between the Anthropology Program (Social and Human Sciences Faculty) of Universidad Externado de Colombia and the Iroka Indigenous Reservation of the Serranía del Perijá.
