The Program

This is a four-week program that consists of immersion Spanish classes in the morning, academic lectures in the afternoon alternating with salsa classes and cultural outings. A day hike will also be included in the outskirts of Bogotá.

The program runs from June 22nd to July 17th 2015.

Enrolment requisites

To participate in this immersion program you should have a minimum B1 level in Spanish (intermediate). You will need to present a document that validates the level or you may take our classification exam for free before you arrive.

Prices

For $1,100 USD, Un Verano en Bogotá includes:

Spanish course (57 hours)
Academic lectures (9 sessions)
Salsa classes (8 hours)
Pedagogical outings, including transportation (5 activities)
Ecological hike with lunch and transportation (1 day)
Airport transportation
Assistance with housing arrangements.

Tuition doesn’t include:
Air fare, medical insurance, room and board. You´ll need to pay a small fee for the cost of museums (some are free), the bike rental and the trip to Monserrate)

Accommodation

The university does not offer room and board, however it advises and accompanies the students in getting you set up. The University suggests two places:

Option 1: Double room at the Hotel Regina, KR 5 N. 15-14. website 600 USD
Option 2: Individual rooms at the Casa Summer C, KR 3 N. 11-32. website 300 USD

The prices include:
Option 1: Tax, continental breakfast, Wi-Fi in all hotel áreas, unlimited local calls, courtesy coffee in the common areas 24 hours.
Option 2: Wi-Fi; maid service, collective kitchen, book rental, access to study rooms and entertainment.
