Registration now open: Specialization in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language
The virtual program is offered by the Spanish Center for Foreigners – CEPEX - of the Finance, Government and International Relations Faculty.
Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) is a subject of growing interest in the world; in response, there must be many opportunities for training teachers to meet this demand.
The Specialization Program has the goal of continuing training professionals from all disciplines. It provides the theoretical and practical tools allowing students to acquire the necessary skills to perform as teachers of the Spanish language as a foreign language anywhere in the world.
Similarly, for professionals experienced in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, this program allows delving into the fundamental aspects to enhance their expertise.
A Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language Specialization graduate will be able to impart classes on all levels, per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and will also have the ability to develop future leadership projects.
Structure and curriculum: The Specialization is 100 percent online, consists of two semesters, for a total of 20 credits (960 hours).

Cost (COP): Semester 1: 5,400,000 – Semester 2: 6,600,000
Accreditation: An Externado de Colombia University degree. A Specialist Certificate is issued, indicating credits earned.
