- Labor Connections: The graduate of this specialization shall be able to perform in the public sector, international organizations, the private sector, academia or in the third sector.
- Skills acquired by the graduate upon finishing the program: implementation of projects and development strategies based on the management of international cooperation resources.
- The specialization in International Cooperation and Project Management for Development was founded in the year 1994 quickly becoming a pioneer program in the country.

- The program covers the needs that the actors in the private, public and third sectors have to respond to the initiatives of the central government and carry out strategies aimed at international cooperation for development.

All those interested in training in international cooperation with a focus on project management and development. There is not just one profile, however, a distinctive characteristic of our students and graduates is a high social vocation with aims of working in diverse sectors in the search for having social impact through the management of projects and cooperation.
Upon finishing the specialization, the student can access the possibility of continuing their master’s studies in a shorter period of time, taking the Master’s in International Affairs at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. It is important to point out that once having finished the specialization, students have up to two years to decide if they wish to continue with the Master’s.
Additionally, the program has a space for international conferences (certified), which are taught by teachers from SIPA (School of Public and International Affairs) of Columbia University, New York.
Being a program aimed at the professionalization of international cooperation and of project management, the professors who participate in this program are generally outstanding consultants at the national and international level on this field and to a lesser degree some are research professors of our faculty and university.
