Foreign Trade Certification

Bogotá - presencial

80 horas

Open registrations

Registrations are now open in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, and Barranquilla, for the Certification in Foreign Trade. The Course will explore aspects of the new inclusion stage of Colombia in the global economy.

The signing of multiple free trade agreements, as well as the recent Customs and Foreign Commerce regulatory changes, demand the business community and foreign trade operators to know the complexities and operation requirements of this area comprehensively.

To meet this need, the Externado de Colombia has opened registration for the Certification in Foreign Trade Program in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and Barranquilla. The program offers the specialized study of the complexities and requirements of foreign trade operations, as well as the mechanisms available to manage and ensure a successful business internationalization process.

The Course also includes training on the tools available, yet unknown by the business community, on the advantages of having advance rulings supporting imports and exports, and defense mechanisms to deal with restrictive and unfair trade practices.

The interdisciplinary Program is directed to foreign trade managers, entrepreneurs, importers, and exporters, those involved in international business; international trade consultants; customs agents; commercial entities officials, and, in general, all foreign trade operators.

Topics:

  • Free Zones (Decree 2147 of 2016)
  • Special systems for import and export (Vallejo Plan: Resolutions1649 of 2016 and 108 of 2017).
  • Duty classification, 2017 updated Colombian tariff nomenclature, and its impact on the timetable for FTA tax exemption.
  • Rules of origin and origin certifications applicable to FTAS (United States, European Union, Canada, Mexico, EFTA).
  • Advance rulings: definition, benefits, application and procedure before the DIAN.
  • Commercial defense mechanisms: anti-dumping rights and safeguards.
