FIGRI and its participation in the regions

The Faculty carried out activities in several cities, including Barranquilla and Cúcuta.

To encourage reflections and encourage learning in our Externadista community, the Finance, Government and International Relations Faculty developed several academic activities in cities other than Bogotá.

International Relations Workshop: New topics and research proposals

This workshop was held in Barranquilla on October 1-2, 2019, together with the Colombian Network of International Relations (RedIntercol) and the support of the World International Studies Committee (WISC), and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).

Participants included 40 national and international professors and researchers who, as part of the conclusions and reflections, raised the need to continue discussions and proposals for new meeting spaces on related topics, such as practices in teaching International Relations.

It is worth noting that the event served as a preamble to the inauguration of the International Relations in Week in Colombia.

IX National Congress and First Caribbean Congress, Colombia Chapter “Strengthening South-South Ties: Africa and Asia in today’s international system; visions from Colombia and the Caribbean.”

The event was held October 31 through November 1, 2019, in the city of Cúcuta, in north Santander. This meeting had active participation by CIPE researchers, who were also involved in the event organization.

Additionally, attending the event were the Ambassador of Korea, H.E. Kim Doo Sik, the Acting Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Xu Wei, and Sabih Can Kanado-lu, political advisor of the Turkish Embassy.
