FIGRI highlights its alumni and students elected in the last regional elections
The Faculty of Finance, Government and International Relations is very proud of the Externadistas elected to different public positions in regional administrations.
Claudia Nayibe López Hernández
Elected Mayor of Bogotá D.C. Claudia is a Finance and International Relations graduate (1996); was a monitor of Theory of International Relations (1994 – 1995). She holds an MPA (Master’s in Public Administration) from Columbia University (2003) and a PhD in Political Science from Northwestern University (2019). Also, she guided the Development Planning Chair of the Government and International Relations program in 2005 and 2006.
Gloria Elsy Díaz Martínez
Re-elected as Bogotá councilwoman. She is a professional in Government and International Relations (2005).
Jesús Armando Eraso Yela
Elected Deputy of the Assembly of the Department of Nariño. Jesús is a Government and International Relations Professional, with in-depth studies in Public Management (2015). He completed his internship at the Attorney General’s Office (2014) and completed an academic exchange at the University of Buenos Aires (2015).
Javier Jaramillo Giraldo
Elected City Councilor of Tuluá (Valle del Cauca). Javier is a professional in Government and International Relations (2014), with in-depth studies in Public Management. He completed his internship at the Institute of Political Science Hernán Echavarría Olózaga (2014).
Andrés Felipe Rodríguez Murcia
Will be a city councilor of Carmen de Carupa (Cundinamarca) for the period 2020-2023, making use of the right granted by the Statute of Opposition to those obtaining the second largest number of votes for Mayor. Andrés Felipe is an 8th-semester student of the Government and International Relations program focusing on Public Management.
