Within the framework of the University’s 135th anniversary, the School of Management invites to the Women’s Leadership Meeting. An event that will set the tone for women’s empowerment in society and their remarkable progress in reducing gender inequality.

In humanity’s history, women have always played an essential role in social advancement because of their incredible virtues, talents, abilities, and capacities. Thus, the event’s agenda will be guided by the following topics:

What does it mean and imply to be a woman?

  • María Cecilia Otoya: Director of the School of Management’s Women Breaking Barriers program.

Women in public service

  • Ana Fernanda Maiguashca:Former co-director of Banco de la República (Colombia’s foremost monetary policy authority). Former technical vice minister of the Ministry of Finance.  In 2020, Forbes Magazine listed Maiguashca as one of the 50 most powerful women in Colombia.

The enterprising woman

  • Jenny Camacho:Founder of the Xocolat & More chain of restaurants offering specialized products for people with dietary restrictions and diabetics. Influencer and activist for the prevention of breast cancer.

Women as an agent of social change

  • Catalina Escobar:President and founder of the JuanFe Foundation (Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar), which aims to reduce infant mortality and empower adolescent mothers in extreme poverty and vulnerability situations. Top 10 CNN Heroes in 2012.

Workshop:

  • Mónica Grajales:Mentor and ontological coach. In this workshop, we will broaden the level of awareness regarding our emotions’ impact on our choices in life and their leading role in achieving our results.
