New challenges in building peaceful and inclusive societies

In celebration of the Mexico - Colombia Year, the Mexican Embassy and the Externado University invite the academic community to participate in a Conference on social inclusion, respect for diversity and equality, for the construction of peace spaces.

With the goal of bringing closer the artistic, cultural, and knowledge expressions between the two countries, a forum will be held on March 1, 2018. The event aims to analyze aspects contributing to the construction of a global governance ideal, to prepare us for the new global situation and the socio-political and economic interaction changes.

The Conference will comprise two panels:

  • Achievements and challenges. Peaceful and inclusive societies in Latin America: poverty, gender, transparency, and justice.
  • Success stories. A perspective of emblematic projects in various regions and case studies. Implementation of good practices in Colombia and Mexico.

In addition to the above, topics on the history of society and Governments will be addressed to encourage open and constructive political dialogue among speakers and attendees.
