Renowned writer and Professor from India will offer lecture at the Externado

Doctor Ravindra Kumar will offer the conference "Relevance of Gandhi’s teachings in the reconstruction of the society and politics of Colombia in the post-conflict."

The scholar is the author of more than 100 books and 400 articles on the liberation movement in the Asian country, as well as the leaders who built the new nation. He has received prestigious awards from the Academia, as well as the Government of India, for his extensive research work. Also, he is an expert on the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his Philosophy of Truth and Non-Violence.

Dr. Kumar is a political scientistpeace-worker, educationalist, and former Vice-Chancellor of Meerut University. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the Global Peace International Journal.

The event is organized by the Externado and its Center for Studies and Services on Contemporary India and South Asia (CESICAM), with support from the Embassy of India. It aims to listen to different voices, from people who have managed to redirect their destiny to become regional leaders, as in the case of India, which according to experts, is becoming the fourth world economy.
