The Telecommunications Law Department holds this conference to discuss Government, businesses, and homes connected to the digital knowledge era, and the new National Development Plan 2018-2022, which one of its points is stipulated in the "Colombia Digital Transformation Pact.”
Paola Bonilla Castro, National Planning Department Digital Development Director, will offer the conference, held within the framework of the Information and Communications Technologies Conference Cycle, with the goal to discuss the different projects, resolutions, and initiatives developed in the sector.
The chat will address the Colombia Pact scope, the objectives, and axes on which the National Development Plan is structured, and its relationship with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Objectives, planned for 2030. Subsequently, the goals for the ICT sector in the four years will be reviewed.
Speaker’s Profile
Paola Bonilla Castro is an Economist from the University of Ibagué, with a Master’s in Economics from the Universidad del Rosario. She has over 11 years of experience in the ICT sector, as an advisor, and subsequently as Markets Regulation Coordinator of the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC). Also, at the National Planning Department, she performed as an advisor to the Telecommunications Branch and as Digital Prospective Deputy Director of the Digital Development Office.
At the National Planning Department, Bonilla has participated in initiatives relating to public policy guidelines on technological convergence, ICT financing, and the digital economy, among others. Additionally, she has headed and coordinated policies and projects in the ICT sector, as well as research promoting the digital development of the country with a prospective vision, corresponding to technological trends. Currently, she serves as Director of Digital Development at the National Planning Department, displaying her leadership in the development of strategies for exploitation and innovation based on data and information as input for the construction of public policies for the ICT sector and the digital transformation of the sectors.
