Regulatory Impact Analysis Course

The Mining-Energy Law Department invites all interested to the course which will analyze the impacts of the implementation of a regulatory directive.

The Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) established policy guidelines for regulatory improvement, integrating simplification, rationalization, necessary regulation, public consultation, and regulatory impact analysis practices, among others. Colombia, like many countries, is interested in improving its regulation.

This time, the course will address the “Regulatory Impact Analysis” procedure for policy issuance. This tool changes the conception and the traditional procedure for issuing standards, taking into account the normative production becomes a much more complete procedure through analysis phases with qualitative and quantitative methods. Additionally, the impacts of the implementation of a regulatory decision will be analyzed in order to choose the most suitable.

Regulatory Impact Analysis warrants the study and appropriate analysis to achieve a policy implementation fulfilling the improved regulation’s purposes.

The course will be imparted in a classroom format. Certificates will be awarded to those attending 80 percent of the course hours.
