Why should Attorneys attend?

In most negotiations conducted in Colombia, to either establish the terms of a national or international agreement or to resolve a conflict, attorneys tend to focus on the legal aspect and the price of the agreement, bypassing unique opportunities to generate a value between the parties.

The above prompted the conference, which has the main objective to train Law professionals in necessary negotiation strategies for becoming an added value for their clients or business when entering into any business negotiations.

Speaker: Luis Alfonso Gómez Domínguez

He is an Externado de Colombia University Law graduate, with a Master’s in International Business and Management from the University of Westminster in London; he has studies in International Negotiation Strategies at the University of Cambridge, and formed part of the legal team of Motorola in England. Also, he completed a Certification program in Negotiation Teaching and Research at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Additionally, he is the author of the book “Negociación Internacional – Enfoque Estratégico” (International Negotiation – Strategic Approach).

Currently, the speaker is an associate of the law firm Rincón-Cuellar, is a conciliator of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce Centre for Arbitration and Conciliation, and is a professor-researcher at the Externado de Colombia Business Law Department.
