Conference in Medellín: International Negotiation Strategies

This talk aims to train executives in carrying out successful negotiations with persons of different cultures, providing a competitive advantage when conducting transactions, taking advantage of globalization opportunities.

Taking into account the considerable increase in commercial transactions and the importance gained by the Latin American region in recent decades, it is relevant to analyze the trends of the Free Trade Agreements (FTA).

The chat will be offered by Luis Alfonso Gómez, Externado Law graduate, with a Master’s in International Business and Management from the University of Westminster in London, and studies in International Negotiation Strategies at the University of Cambridge. Also, he was part of the Motorola legal team in England, and a member of the CCI Commercial Practices Subcommittee. Recently, the speaker completed a Negotiation Research and Teaching Certificate Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.  He is the author of the book “Negociación International – Enfoque Estratégico” (International Negotiation – Strategic Approach).

Currently, Dr. Gómez serves as an associate attorney at the Law firm Rincón-Cuellar, conciliator of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Conciliation Center, and professor-researcher at the Externado Business Law Department.
