Date: Of 1 to 2 of february of 2018
Time: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Conference is directed to students of the Masters in State Law with an emphasis in Taxation and the Tax Law Department specialization programs.
The Externado Tax Law Department research group invites to the first 2018 Enrique Low Murtra Seminar, particularly addressed to students of the Masters in State Law with an emphasis in Taxation beginning their academic program in 2018, as well as students of the Specialization programs, and members of the Department.
On this occasion, having reached the one-year anniversary of the enactment of Law 1819 of 2016, and the issuance of the regulation and official doctrine, the event will focus on analyzing the regulation and interpretation of the Tax Reform. Additionally, the meeting serves as a corollary and conclusion to the “Critical Analysis of the Tax Code Reform” research project, carried out by the Externadista Center for Tax Studies (CEEF. The project will culminate in an event, open to the public, on March 13, 2018, where a research book will be introduced.
The meeting is vitally important, as in recent months there have been continuous changes by regulatory decrees and the issuance of official doctrine. Also, taking into account that 2018 is the first year tax returns are filed based on the changes contained in Law 1819 / 2016.
In view of the above, at the conferences and panels, the speakers will present an assessment of the main aspects to be considered based on the legal changes, regulation, and the doctrine issued by the DIAN, as well as its accordance with the regulations on social security and other tax obligations, such as VAT, ICA, billing, and reporting information, among others.
