Workshop – Deferred Income Tax

The Workshop, offered by the Public Accounting Faculty, is directed to public accountants and students interested in learning the basic principles of this tax.
The course will address the application of concepts developed in practical cases, applicable to the Colombian environment.
Participants will update their knowledge of the different international standards applied to recording deferred income tax. Also, a methodology for calculating this tax will be proposed. Additionally, the course will address the main differences between IAS 12, local standards, and the ASC 740 (Accounting Standards Codification).
The workshop will be offered by Professor Carolina Contreras Zartha, Certified Public Accountant, with a Master’s in Law with emphasis on Tax Law and Taxation from the Externado University. Currently, she serves as Tax Leader at Kimberly – Clark, and has ample experience in the tax area, particularly in the preparation and review of returns and tax diagnostics.
