Philosophy as a situation and commitment in Pavivir

Fecha: 4 of may of 2021

Hora: 5:00 pm

Lugar: Virtual room, advance registration

The Philosophy Program and the Library invite to the new cycle of Passions, Vices & Virtues – PAVIVIR. It is an open and plural space for critical reflection on human affections’ troubling nature and their influence on our time’s ethical, political, and aesthetic practices.

This time, the program incorporates the questions feminisms ask about power relations and the cultural, political, and social conflicts linking us. The program is connected with the Reflective Creativity Competition for Young People, which will hold its awards ceremony on “Philosophy Day at the Externado” (May 21, 2021).

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, the cycle continues with the reflections “Philosophy as a situation and commitment,” by Luisa Monsalve Medina, and “Political mobilization of the women of the FARC-EP,” by Juliana Rincón Flores.
