On Friday, October 22, the commemoration of Social Work Day will take place within the framework of the II International Seminar: Contemporary Debates on the Social Question, organized by the Social Work program in coordination with the Center for Research on Social Dynamics (CIDS) of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences.

The commemoration begins with a presentation by Yolanda Guerra, PhD in Social Work, professor and researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, who will give a lecture on “Foundations and expressions of the social question in Latin America”. This will be followed by a contemporary dance theater play called “Puro Pueblo” by the Colectivo Artístico y Cultural Abya Yala, which through the approach to different stories invites the public to reflect on the socio-political violence and the situation of armed conflict that our country has experienced. The Social Work Program invites the entire Externadista community and those interested in participating in this commemoration of Social Work Day. It will be a day of free access.
