Fecha: 21 of september
Hora: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Lugar: Externado University Library, Room 2
The Interdisciplinary Studies Institute and the Library invite the Externadista community to enjoy the screening of the movie Taxi Driver, on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
In the second semester of 2017, the Externadista Cinema Club presents a series of films with an “Urban Life” theme. This cycle comprises 15 important national and international full-length features and short films. The theme is addressed by a journey through the history of cinema.
To analyze these productions, in their artistic and historical context, film critic and cinema professor, Mauricio Laurens, introduces the films and provides discussion parameters.
The Club meets on Thursdays, 3:00 pm, at the Library, Room 2.
Our next session, September 21, 2017, features the American film, Taxi Driver, directed by Martin Scorsese. This crime-drama, released in 1976, stars Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle, a lonely and mentally unstable veteran who works as a night-time taxi driver and becomes immersed in the seedy New York City nightlife.
