Academic Forum “2030 Vision of Tourism in Colombia”

The Externado Tourism and Hotel Business Administration Faculty and COTELCO invite all interested to participate in the academic forum on February 20, 2018.

The Forum will center on the project carried out during 2017 to propose a public policy for promoting tourism in the country over the next 12 years.

To create the proposal, an interdisciplinary group formed by COTELCO (Colombian Hotel and Tourism Association) members and the Externado Tourism and Society Research Group was established.  The work had support from interns of different postgraduate programs, in the field work and review of secondary sources.

Panelists include recognized personalities from the sector, such as Julián Guerrero, Procolombia Vice President of Tourism; José Andrés Duarte, Director of the Bogotá District Tourism Institute; Juan Carlos Galindo, President of OxoHotel, and Javier Torres, PhD in Political Science, and coordinator of the Externado de Colombia PhD in Political Studies program.

Moderators are Edna Rozo, Dean of the Externado Tourism and Hotel Business Administration Faculty, and Gustavo A. Toro Velásquez, COTELCO Chief Executive Officer.
