
Cecilia Dimaté, new National Vice President of ASCOFADE
Dr. Cecilia Dimaté Rodríguez, Dean of the Externado Education Sciences Faculty, was appointed National Vice President of the Education Faculties Association (ASCOFADE).
The appointment took place on March 24, 2021, within the entity’s national assembly framework. Her appointment as National Vice President integrates her in the ASCOFADE National Board of Directors, the Association’s highest academic and administrative management body.
ASCOFADE brings together Education Schools and other higher education institutions’ academic units whose purpose is educators’ training at the national level. Consequently, her election to this position is excellent recognition for Dr. Dimaté, the Educational Sciences Faculty, and the Externado de Colombia University.
Cecilia Dimaté has a PhD in Political Studies from the Externado de Colombia University (2018), a Master’s in Community Psychology (1990), a Master’s in Spanish Linguistics (1996) from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a Psychology and Pedagogy Degree (1985) from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. Her areas of academic interest are pedagogy, language, and education.
