Law students awarded at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
Students from the Externado Law School participated, with excellent results, in the national round of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, in which a hearing is simulated before the International Court of Justice.
Thanks to their hard work and commitment, the Externadista team obtained the Best Respondent Memorial award, giving them the opportunity to participate in the global rounds.
Students Valentina Monsalve Guerrero, Juan José Calderón Hurtado, Federico Herazo Olsen, Paula Johana Lancheros Sánchez, and Natalia Alvis Polo, supported by their trainers from the Constitutional Law and Economic Law Departments, represented the Externado de Colombia University.
This year the competition was held virtually. The Universidad de los Andes, La Javeriana, Rosario, La Sabana, and Universidad del Norte participated in the national round.
Global rounds will begin in mid-March. Our team will face different institutions from around the world.
We wish them the best in the challenge ahead and congratulate them on the achievement attained.
