Tourism and Hotel Business Administration Faculty Dean traveled to Spain to attend the Unitwin Unesco Network Meeting
Edna Rozo made the trip to Spain to participate in the meeting of the Network of which the Externado has been a member since 2017.
On February 4-11, 2018, Edna Rozo, Dean of our House of Studies’ Tourism and Hotel Business Administration Faculty, made an academic visit to Madrid, to participate in the Unitwin Unesco Chair “Culture, Tourism, Development” – of which the Faculty has been a member since 2017.
During her trip, the Dean met with José Ramón Monrobel, Dean of the Social and Legal Sciences Faculty, and Alicia Blanco, Vice Dean of Academic Planning and Internationalization, of the Rey Juan Carlos University, with which the Faculty has been developing a general cooperation agreement and a specific one for students, professors, and administrative staff mobility.
Also, Professor Rozo visited the World Tourism Organization offices, where she met with Affiliate Members Director, Yolanda Perdomo, with the goal to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation.
At the Unitwin Unesco Network Meeting, the Dean proposed Colombia as the site for the 2020 meeting and pledged to continue working with her team on the development of new MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) in areas such as tourism and historical memory, cultural heritage and tourism, among others.
