“The dream continues”: The Public Accounting Faculty celebrates its 51 years

The programs of the Faculty have been characterized for providing added value to the personal and professional training of those who have traveled through their classrooms.

On October 6, 2018, the Public Accounting Faculty commemorates 51 years of its existing continuing dream – a journey allowing it to be at the forefront of the constant changes in the professional and business environment. The School has been a part of the life projects of more than 2,900 public accountants who have represented the Faculty and the Externado de Colombia University, placing the name of this House of Studies on a high note.

Personalities such as Luis José Orjuela Rodríguez, General Auditor of the Bank of the Republic; Fernando Arturo Rodríguez, Dean of prestigious universities at the national level; César Martínez, Member of the Central Board of Accountants, among others, have excelled in different economic sectors, evidencing how, together the faculty team, they have forged their skills to contribute to the development of the country.

The Faculty’s programs have been distinguished for providing added value to the personal and professional training of those who have traveled through their classrooms. Additionally, this academic unit has pioneered the inclusion of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as being the first to speak about Forensic Audit in the country; thus, generating a professional reference, not only for Externadistas, but also, Colombian society.

In this way, the Public Accounting Faculty invites the community to continue forging the ties allowing the development of high-quality programs, stimulating the pride of students, graduates, professors, and administrators.
