Welcome! Students of the first cohort of the Master’s Degree in Creative Communication and Emerging Media

With a luncheon at the Casa Externadista, the School of Social Communication - Journalism warmly welcomed the eight students who make up the first cohort of the new Master's Degree in Creative Communication and Emerging Media.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Luz Amalia Camacho; the Academic Coordinator of Graduate Studies, Diego Mazorra; the Coordinator of the Master’s Program, Ph.D. Daniel Aguilar; the Administrative Coordinator of Graduate Studies, Esperanza Jaramillo; and the Coordinator of Digital Innovation and Continuing Education, Carolina Rojas.

“The Master’s Degree in Creative Communication and Emerging Media, depending on undergraduate training, trains students to have the ability to enter into creative and information management positions in different sectors, not only in traditional media, but particularly focused on emerging media, whose main feature is the convergence and rapid transformation of tools, methodologies and strategies,” said Daniel Aguilar, coordinator of this graduate program.

The Master’s Degree in Creative Communication and Emerging Media aims to train professionals, from any area of knowledge, in the logics of creation, generation and management of information in a world of high and vertiginous technological development, capable of being key players in today’s media environments.
