In commemoration of Journalists’ Day, the Social Communication – Journalism Faculty will host the renowned Colombian journalist, who will participate, with other graduates, in the José Recasens Chair, created in honor of the first Dean of the Faculty.

The Externado de Colombia Social Communication – Journalism Faculty hosted the University Student Journalism Awards (PPEU).
The Social Communication-Journalism Faculty introduced the publication as recognition to Maestro Jorge Fraga for his extensive cinematography career and his contribution to the University, where he was a Professor in the audiovisual area, for 14 years.
The National Association of Broadcasters Show, held in Las Vegas, United States, featured representatives from 161 countries. Faculty Professors Clara Marcela Mejía and Darío Fernando Patiño attended this year’s event.
Experts, researchers, campaign strategists, and political communication scholars, gathered to discuss communication and political crisis: the democratic challenge.
The work is titled “La representación mediática de la niñez en América Latina y su incidencia en la sociedad frente a la legislación vigente sobre derechos de la infancia y la adolescencia.” (Media representation of children in Latin America and its impact on society facing the legislation on children and adolescents’ rights”).
The IAMRC (International Association for Media and Communication Research) is the most important worldwide professional Association in the media and communication research field.
The Conference was held June 5-6, 2017, at the University of Cardiff, in Wales, United Kingdom.
