Did you know that the Externado has a pioneering laboratory in the country in the field of social neuroscience?

This is the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Human Sciences and Processes (LINCIPH) of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidad Externado de Colombia. The laboratory is available to the entire Externadista community.

This is a face-to-face and virtual space whose purpose is to contribute to the understanding of human processes from the perspective of social neuroscience.

In addition to being a pedagogical space for training and academic consultation, it has facilities, specialized software and state-of-the-art technology:

• Gesell Chamber.
• Psychometric test bank.
• Bank of psychological instruments.
• Bank of specialized software.
• Wired and wireless technology for electrophysiological recordings, such as electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG), electromyography (EMGf), Hyperscanning.
• Equipment for hormone measurement.
• And another series of devices for eye tracking and emotion recording.

These technical, technological and scientific resources allow us to pose problems and solve research questions, such as: How do people make decisions in different areas of life, politically, economically, financially? What do young people understand by political participation? How do we relate to digital social networks? What is it about our biochemical and electrical functioning that leads us to make certain decisions? among many other possibilities.
