Dr. Jaakko Seikkula, the prominent Finnish psychologist, presented his “Open Dialogue” model for the treatment of persons with serious mental disorders, in their support systems, resulting in improvement of at least 80 percent of cases, without hospitalization and medication, but with the support of multidisciplinary teams.
The Externado Social and Human Sciences Psychology program, together with the Universidad de los Andes Psychology program, has been developing, this semester, the XIII Colombian Psychology Chair Mercedes Rodrigo.
The event is free and will feature participation by experts on the subject.

180 children from three schools of La Candelaria district participated in the interactive fun activities to discover the social brain. At the event “Communities with the face of a woman,” organized by the Science and Human Processes Interdisciplinary Laboratory of the Social and Human Sciences Faculty, different groups of women gathered to discuss the struggles they have experienced in fighting for women’s freedom and the fulfillment of their rights.

The Social and Human Sciences Faculty invites all interested to the academic discussion addressing the post-conflict influence on the electoral race. The meeting will address questions such as – How strong are the traditional parties? Is it possible the political landscape will change this year?
Within the celebration of International Native Languages Day, a literature and orality forum was held, in mother languages, at the National Museum of Colombia. The event, led by the collective Muksu, featured participation by the Externado Multicultural Interactions program.
