Hello from Bienestar Universitario (University Wellbeing)

Our commitment to the progressive, safe and voluntary return continues. Starting Monday, August 9, some spaces will be available at El Alcazar, in the north of the city, and El Solar, in the downtown campus.

We are very happy. Starting next Monday, the physical spaces of #TUBienestar will open their doors to Externadistas for the development of face-to-face sessions of sports and cultural activities; as well as the provision of spaces for the free practice of 3×3 basketball, soccer-tennis and board games. This gradual opening is part of a pilot program that the University will carry out during the month of August, which will allow, if the health conditions are suitable, to increase the offer of on-site activities.

We are optimistic. We are confident that Externadistas will take advantage of this opportunity to take ownership of the university campus, get to know their peers and take a break after months of confinement. Those who join this initiative will be able to have connectivity to follow their classes online, buy drinks and snacks, and have microwave ovens and the circular route (la Ruta) at their disposal. We have enabled a route from the north portal of Transmilenio to facilitate access to the north headquarters.

On Monday, August 9, at El Alcazar, we will have classes in taekwondo, field tennis, men’s and women’s volleyball, capoeira, juggling and theater improvisation. At El Solar, we will start with the rumba class from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will also offer classes in guitar, painting, ceramics, urban dance, photography club, theater and intensive training.

The rest of the weekly schedule can be consulted by clicking here

Each space has a specific capacity, so it is imperative to register for the activities. You can do so here

The admission and biosafety protocols operate in the same way in both areas, so please consult and follow them.

We are very excited. On Monday, I will be personally welcoming the Externadistas at the El Alcazar campus, accompanied by the #TUBienestar sports team, the professors of the Department and many of the people who made this wager possible at the University.

I’ll be happy to #MeetAgain.

See you Monday, Nohora.
